We got one today. And once again Aid did his happy dance! He impatiently waited for me to get the box open and then tore through it once it was opened. There were mostly hand me down clothes for Grant and some articles of clothing for Aid.
But he knew there would be something else.
So he kept digging. He found a couple of copied movies which excited him. He immediately wanted to put in The Rescuers. Then he found it....the beloved bag of Hershey Kisses. He said, "She got the chocki. Grandma got the chocki." He repeated this several times getting louder and more excited as he said it. Then suddenly he started yelling it as he frantically began running around the circle of our house!
You have never seen a happier boy then when he finds the chocki in the bottom of the Grandma Box.
That's so cool. I love the Grandma Box.
ReplyDeleteTony and Grandpa Whitmore will always have Twix bars and Aid will always have Grandma Mac's chocki.
ReplyDeleteI was totally thinking the same thing my mom said...Tony and Grandpa with their Twix bars. I started buying my hershey syrup in the tin can - even though it's messy, it makes me think of being a kid at Grandma and Grandpa's house and eating ice cream like it was going outta style. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Hershey out of the can. It does have such good memories....
